A shirtdress is so functional, yet can be so chic at the same time. It is one of those items that I think every woman needs in her wardrobe. Similar to a wrap dress, a shirtdress can be worn dressed down or dressed up… from work to play. It’s so versatile. It also can be worn in any season!
The hardest part about finding a good shirtdress is the fit. You want one that isn’t a shift dress (aka super straight), but want it to have some shape to it. I say that because it can come across as looking blah if it’s not tailored and fitted in the right places. I love this one because it’s super flattering on all figures due to the lines and belt which really makes it a classic piece. This shirtdress is also super reasonable! You cannot beat the $32 price tag!
I wanted this look to work from day to night, so I wore these funky sequin booties to jazz up the look a bit! Prior to these photos I wore a cardigan over the dress as well. You can really do so much (or so little) in terms of styling with this piece because it’s just so classic and timeless. I also love that it’s navy which makes it easy to wear and will be long lasting. It also comes in a bright green which is super fun!
