Happy Thanksgiving week! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because I am with my family. I love the bonding time and feel there is no other day like turkey day. I head over to my parent’s condo and spend the day with my sisters and dad helping my mom cook ‘the feast’ and just hang out together. This time really brings me back to my childhood and it’s something I really look forward to every year. I am so thankful to be surrounded by my family and feel so fortunate.
I started a tradition years ago to give back. After my extended family comes over for dinner, my immediate family packs up all the leftovers and as a family we bring it to a homeless shelter. It brings tears to my eyes each year when I get out of the car and personally hand our leftovers to the crew waiting outside of the shelter. Looking through the window you can see the thousands of people just waiting for something to eat. I always wish I could do more… always.
I am thankful for my loving husband and wonderful family and friends (meaning you). Yes, I consider you my friend. Although I may not know each and everyone of you personally, I feel so thankful to connect to you day after day — post after post — and share a bit of me with you (even if it’s just what I’m wearing and how I styled it!) I appreciate your friendship and am grateful to you. I hope that I have (and keep on) inspiring you to throw on a skirt and pair of heels — and live each and everyday to its’ fashionable fullest.:)
