Play is your child’s most natural form of expression.

I had so much fun designing Madeline’s playroom myself. The task can seem a bit overwhelming but I had a vision in mind. It was also really important that everything was organized — and stayed that way!
Here are the key elements in designing the ‘perfect’ playroom:
- Organization: Everything needs a place and your little one should know where everything belongs.
- Space: Toys, crafts, games, stuffed animals, and everything else need to fit!
- Aesthetic: Since you and your kiddo spend so much time in their playroom you want it not only organized but also a place that brings a smile to their face everyday!
- Price: It’s a playroom… it’s bound to get scratched up so you don’t want to spend a lot.
The solution to achieving our ‘perfect’ playroom was taking 2 bookshelves and laying them horizontally. Then use bins and label them (you can even draw a picture of what’s inside). This has worked for us and I hope it works for you too!
Add a few small ‘happy’ touches if you want. I spelled out the word ‘PLAY’ in oversized letters and hung pink flowers throughout!
